Hey welcome to the Superherouniverse.com Wiki site. My plans for this part of the site are pretty basic. I want to have the largest superhero, comic book, sci-fi, fan boy reference site in existence.
So please register and help the cause.
Basic Structure
Basically right now to get the ball rolling I'm using a lot of information already stored at wikipedia, which according to their license agreement, as I understand it, is fine as their information is for all public use.
The major difference is that where as wikipedia might discuss World War 2 as it exists in the real world we discuss World War 2 more in terms of how it exists in the universes existing in the comic book universes of DC and Marvel.
Character profiles as much as possible will have stats like weight, height, first comic book appearance, and so forth.
Our Wiki Technical Issues
As of this moment there is only a couple of issues to be worked out. Any url with a . in it will not function properly so urls with words in them like like S.H.I.E.L.D. will have to be written out like so, SHIELD, just leaving out the periods.
.PNG images will not upload for some reason, but most other image formats seem to work just fine.
Family Friendly Content
I'm not going to be the political correct Nazi police or anything, but in as far as it is possible I would appreciate trying to keep the site's info to a safe family friendly level. I'd like it to be something someone's grandma could read without blushing.
So please if you love comic books and superheroes and have anything to add about comics in general, comic book related TV shows, movies, etc. then please add a way.
The only catch is you have to create a user name and password and login. I couldn't keep track if this wiki was editable by all visitors, so a person must be logged in.
