X'Hal is in the DC Comics universe. She first appeared in New Teen Titans vol. 1, #24 (October 1982).
character biography
X'Hal was the ruler of the planet Okaar, in the Vegan Star System. X'Hal was captured by the reptile|reptilian Psions and subjected to brutal medical experiments, which first killed her, then turned her into an entity of pure energy. The now superpowered X'Hal destroys the Psions and their lab, and return to Okaara, where she is worshipped as a god.
One of X'Hal's twin sons was born a hideous monster, due to the effects of the Psion experimenatation. He introduced the concept of warfare to the peaceful Okaarans, and later founded the Citadel. After merging himself with the Citadel's computer, X'Hal's son attacked the planet Tamaran. In the resulting battle the ruling family was killed. The Okaarans banished the evil son and were later forced to imprison the enraged X'Hal, at the cost of thousands of lives.
