The Van der Linde gang is riding into PC town today, with Rockstar Games’ open-world epic Red Dead Redemption 2 now available on Windows.
The huge wild west adventure landed on consoles over a year ago, so PC gaming purists have had to wait a long time for the highly anticipated sequel/prequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption (although that game still remains a console exclusive).
The PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 improves on the original console release with a range of graphical upgrades, including updated textures, lighting and draw distances.
It also comes with additional content such as new bounty hunter missions, gang hideouts and weapons.
Playing on PC will also get you free access to Red Dead Online, the game’s shared multiplayer world. This will be the latest version of the online service, featuring all previously released content and improvements.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is already available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and launched today on Microsoft Windows through a variety of digital retailers (with a Steam release planned for December). Check out the PC launch trailer below, or head over to the game’s official website for more details.
